| 2009-10-11 00:57 Barbara Florio Graham | Database: Every time I reboot my computer, ClipMate comes up with a collection on top that is not the IN Box I want. Often new clips are copied into that collection before I realize what's happened. Is there a way to keep the IN Box on top? I also can't figure out how to sort individual clips within collections alphabetically. I have that option selected, but it doesn't seem to work. Thanks! | Answer |
| 2009-10-24 23:06 jim sapp | Capturing: I just upgraded from version 6.5 to version 7. Now when I start clipmate it doesn't have all the old clips. I tried to rstore as described using FILE, MAINTENANCE, RESTORE, etc. but apparently am pointing to the wrong restore file! The old clips are still there because if I start verion 6 manually it goes back to the old clips. I love Clipmate and have been using it for many years. I test encrypt by closing ClipMate & reopened it,then selected Passwords collec. Popup asks 4 encrypt key but I leave field empty & hit enter. It installs ok except for the clip bar. I get an error message that says CM is not compatible with this system when I try to activate the tool bar, though it is in the list of tool bars available when I right click on the task bar. I capied the 100 Product name and pasted with PowerPaste. Is was OK. And I copied the 100 prices, too, and pasted with PowerPaste function. I realised, the I got only 75 prices, and most of them was in wrong row. I realised that if there are two or more price wich is equal the previous price will not captured again. Apparently, Clipmate is saving my clips from the VM's. I'd like to have the clipbar installed within the VM's but I'm not sure if licensing will allow. | 2012-06-27 15:53 Larry Exum | Printing: I have found that two of my computers (both running Windows 7) tend to print repeated screenshots. I sometimes will be doing computer work, (and not hitting the PrtScrn key) and suddenly I will hear a "POP" then the printer will print a screen shot from the last graphic or screen shot that I made sometime days before. I have occurances of the printer suddenly going nuts, and printing 8 copies of the same screen shot. Before the problem, the print screen button would capture the screen and automatically print it. Now the print screen button captures the screen and opens the fax program on the printer.
